About Me
Tonya graduated with a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2017 (CACREP). She is continuing her education at Liberty University and is pursuing her doctorate in developmental psychology. She has a unique background as a military spouse understanding unique challenges as well as the struggles facing our veterans, military spouces, children, and first responders. She also understands struggles adolescents face in the world and within the family structure and works well in listening and allowing them to be heard and supported.

Tonya is trained in several different theoretical modalities and takes an eclectic approach with clients to meet them where they are, providing a safe place to grow. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and several other modalities.
Tonya’s professional experience includes working with individuals on a wide range of struggles, from autism, anxiety, depression, life changes, hoarding, stressors, to all forms of trauma and more. She believes it is important to create a safe place where clients can relax, be open, and real. She provides a non-judgmental, strength-based atmosphere to support and encourage everyone she works with.

Tonya specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, stress management, grief, OCD, ADHD, intellectual disorders, autism, addictions, boarderline personality disorders, and several other DSM disorders.
She works with individuals of all ages, especially teen and young adults. She is comfortable discussing self-harm, suicidal ideation, as well as being part of crisis intervention teams.
